Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the opencode mobile app and the optional opencode relay service. Please read them before using either.

Last updated: 2026-10-05

Acceptance of terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of opencodemobile.com (“we”, “us”). They govern your use of the opencode mobile app (the “App”) and the opencode relay service (the “Relay”). If you do not agree, do not use the App or the Relay.

The service

The App is a client for opencode serve, a server that you run yourself. The Relay is an optional service that helps the App reach that server over the public internet. You are responsible for the server, the machine it runs on, and everything the agent does there.

The App and the Relay are provided during a beta period. Features, availability and supported platforms may change.

Accounts

Using the Relay requires signing in with an email address; an account is created automatically on first sign-in. Keep access to your email account secure, because sign-in codes are sent there. You may request deletion of your Relay account and its associated data at any time by emailing our support address.

License and restrictions

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense or reverse engineer the App, or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Your responsibilities

Keep your server credentials and pairing credentials secret. You are responsible for all activity that happens through your server and your paired devices.

Do not use the App or the Relay to break the law, attack or disrupt systems, or process data you do not have the right to process. You are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to your projects and your organization.

Fees and subscriptions

The App is free to download. The Relay offers a free tier that includes one connection slot and 512 MB of traffic per month, and paid plans with higher limits are available through the app.

Paid subscriptions are purchased through the app stores or supported payment channels. Their billing, auto-renewal, cancellation and refund rules are governed by the store or channel you purchased through, and can be managed in your store account. We may change plan limits with reasonable notice.

Relay terms

The Relay is optional. It carries traffic between your devices over TLS and does not store prompts, code, diffs or terminal output. Your opencode credentials stay on your own machines.

We may rate-limit or suspend Relay usage that threatens the stability or security of the service. Do not rely on the Relay as your only access path to a production system. The Relay is not designed for time-critical or life-critical use.

Intellectual property

The App, the Relay, and their visual design, trademarks and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

opencode itself is a separate open-source project governed by its own license and maintained by its own project team. opencode mobile is an independent client for the opencode server protocol; these terms do not apply to opencode itself.

Availability and warranties

The App and the Relay are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App or the Relay will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that they will work with every server configuration.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the App or the Relay.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. While you use only the free tier, that amount is zero.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new revision date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
