opencode relay

Reach your server from anywhere, safely

opencode relay is an optional companion service for opencode mobile: a TLS-encrypted tunnel between your phone and the opencode serve instance on your computer, forwarded through Cloudflare's global edge. No public IP, no port forwarding, no exposed ports.

curl -fsSL https://opencodemobile.com/install.sh | bash

Direct connection on your LAN

  1. 01

    Create a relay account

Sign in to the relay in the app with an email code. Direct connections to your own server need no account — only the relay does.

  2. 02

    Install the relay client

On the machine running opencode serve, install ocrelay and run ocrelay connect to generate a pairing code and QR code.

  3. 03

    Pair once, connect anywhere

Scan the QR code or enter the pairing code in the app. After pairing, the app reaches your server from any network — no public IP, no port forwarding.

Set up the relay client

$ curl -fsSL https://opencodemobile.com/install.sh | bash$ ocrelay connect
PS> irm https://opencodemobile.com/install.ps1 | iexPS> ocrelay connect

Linux / macOS · run on the machine hosting opencode serve

Two screens built for the relay

Push notifications and the account view exist specifically for relay connections: they reach you the moment you are needed, and keep traffic, devices and plans visible.

relay

Push & auto-approve

Relay connections can notify you the moment something needs you — and answer on your behalf when you allow it.

  • Task done, permission, question and error alerts
  • Per-device toggles for each notification type
  • Auto-approve permissions, secure default off
relay

Relay account & usage

Sign in with an email code and watch your relay footprint: traffic, devices and daily activity at a glance.

  • Monthly traffic meter with reset date
  • 91-day GitHub-style activity grid
  • Manage devices, plans and billing history

Encrypted, password-free relay

Traffic between the app and your machine is protected by TLS. Your opencode password is injected locally by the relay client and never reaches the relay.

Pairing & revocable access

Every device pairs explicitly. Lost a phone? Revoke its credential in the app and the tunnel closes immediately.

No content retention

Prompts, code, diffs and terminal output are never stored on the relay. It processes only the metadata needed to run the tunnel, plus your relay account email.

Direct when you can

On the same Wi-Fi, the app still connects directly. The relay is a fallback you choose, not a requirement.

Relay is optional. The free tier includes 512 MB of traffic per month; paid plans add more traffic and concurrent connections.
